My other blog service did not help in getting podcasts up so I will continue with this one.  Last week was midterm week and boy was it busy.  I had a Latin quiz on monday, a takehome test due wednesday and a metaphysics test that same day.  I had a paper due at midnight on friday but I have an extension until tuesday.  I gave my vocation story to the seminary at our Mass on the 25th.  We have a weekend of 40 hours devotion this coming weekend and I am not quite sure what my involvement will be.  Praise God.

Please pray for me as I come upon mid-term break.  Also I have been ill the past couple of days.  I've got some bug that results in a sore throat and a cold.  St. Luke, pray for us.

What a weekend!  Since Thursday evening we have been planning our homecoming float.  The parade was yesterday (Saturday) and we won the competition for our second year in a row.  The football team lost their football game.  We are missing two starters pretty bad, if we would have had them, the game would have been a little bit better.  The St. John Vianny Seminary vs. St. Paul Seminary game was exciting.  I played on special teams, which was rather fun.  We lost by a larger margin, but we had fun.  We held our composure through the game, I wish that I could say the same about the opposing team and their fans.  I was speaking with a seminarian from the Saginaw Diocese last night about Bishop Robert Carlson and he is very excited to have him.  It nearly brought tears to my eyes because I do miss him, but I know that he is needed elsewhere.  Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Here is an article that was published in the Star Tribune about our seminary.  The Star Tribune is known as a liberal media source, it's good to see the seminary getting some exposure.

I have added a link to the Latin Mass Community in Sioux Falls.  There are pictures of different Masses that have been celebrated.  Father Martin Lawrence is the Master of Ceremonies for ordination Masses and other large masses and he celebrates the Traditional Mass.

This week is turning in to a good week.  I have three classes cancelled total.  This means I have a day off on Thursday, which rocks my world.  I was up until one in the morning on monday trying to finish a paper for Thought of Thomas Aquinas.  I got it done and some studying for my latin quiz that same day.  I have been going to a local nursing home for my pastoral ministry class.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my visits with the people there.  Life is good.

What a week.  The Eucharistic Congress went very well.  The procession was beautiful.  The monstrance used was from a Eucharistic Congress in the 1940's.  The mass with Archbishop Flynn was nicely done as well.  Solemn Vespers was amazing, I ended up serving last minute.  Our men did an amazing job with singing and serving.  Now I must write a paper for one of my philosophy classes.

Wow, there is a lot going on this week.  I've got a paper due in Thought of Aquinas, a lot of latin to get done, and the usual load in modern philosophy and metaphysics.  This weekend there is a Eucharistic Congress being held up here to bring the year of the Eucharist to an end and the men here are responsible for the procession, vespers, and part of the Mass.  I am responsible for ushering the priests to where they need to be to distribute Holy Communion.  Otherwise things are going well.  I just don't know where to start.  St. Francis, pray for us.
